Hospital case to be taken up with Ministers
Wrekin MP, Mark Pritchard, is to raise the plight of the loss of services at the Princess Royal Hospital directly with Andy Burnham MP, the Secretary of State for Health.
The MP has already tabled a series of Parliamentary Questions to the Minister and has also written to Mr Burnham asking for an “urgent meeting” to discuss “the risk to the lives of my constituents”.
The MP told the Star that he had been “extremely uplifted” by the recent offers of support for his Save The PRH Campaign, which he said had recruited “scores of new hits” to the campaign website at: www.savetheprh.com
Mr Pritchard said:
“I will be taking my fight for local hospital services all the way to the Secretary of State’s front door. Local people have paid record levels of taxes and yet are now being told services need to be cut because there is no more money for doctors. This is just not good enough. Accident and Emergency services and overnight paediatric services are just not negotiable”.
